thinking of you vs thinking about you
I hate when I hear someone say something like the other day, “I am so sorry I forgot to tell you. I did a couple of things a couple of weeks ago, and you were in my thoughts. But I think you should take this seriously, so I will.” I think this is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. I wish I could be like that.
I don’t think that’s what’s in your thoughts, but I bet it’s just the most awkward thing to say to someone that you don’t know. It’s so awkward, I’m sure you’ll never use it again. But here’s today’s lesson: Don’t be a baby. A baby should just be a baby.
This is one of those things I would say to people all the time, especially people who work with me. If I was feeling particularly self-conscious I would say it to them and then I would try not to say it again. But I don’t say it any more, and I try to say it less.
If you think about anything it is more likely to be self-conscious, because all you are doing is thinking about something you don’t really want to be thinking about.
It’s a similar thing with thoughts you dont want to think about. You know the people who have their head in the clouds when they think something they dont really want to be thinking about. The people who constantly think about things they dont really care about or dont really want to think about.
These people are, of course, called “thinkers”. They are the people who think about not thinking about anything. Thinkers are often very self-conscious, which is why they get themselves into trouble. They often think that they are so important that they can’t think, or that they can’t think about anything.
Thinkers are often very self-conscious about their own thoughts. But they are not self-conscious about others, so rather than try to explain themselves, I am going to leave it to you, dear reader, to figure out what they are.
Thinkers are those who think about something so much that they cannot think of anything else. They are great at making lists, they are great at talking about lists, and they are great at arguing about lists. They are the people who are always arguing about lists. They can be hard to deal with because they will often make the “you” in the sentence feel like it’s an alien being who needs to be taken care of. Thinkers often don’t like to be told what to do.
One way to find out is to take a personality test. I know people who’ve taken personality tests and have found out that they are not the type of person who really likes to talk about lists. In fact some of them even dislike talking about lists and prefer to talk about other things. That’s okay though because most people are smart enough to get out of their own way and come up with their own solution to whatever problem is bothering them.

Instead of thinking about the Visionaries attacking your party, you can think about how to get rid of them. Think about how to make sure they don’t come back next time.
