Our best alterations are often the ones that we put in the first place. The most important ones are the ones that we make ourselves. For instance, when we decorate our bedroom, we have to make one of the three levels of self-awareness. We would rather have a bedroom without curtains, a dresser, or a closet with lots of shelves to store our clothes.
The two most important alterations that we make for ourselves are the one to our bedroom and to our bathroom. We would much rather have a bedroom with no doors or a bathroom with no mirrors.
Self-awareness is also one of the most important life skills you can develop. It’s one of the most important ways to help you to be more aware of your thoughts and feelings and to become more aware of your actions. Self-awareness is the opposite of “self-conscious” which is another way to put it. When you are aware of your thoughts and feelings, you are more likely to make the appropriate changes.
